Celine is a writer that really likes art. She has two sibling, one called Caitlin and the other called Cedric. Writer Celine likes writing procedures. For example slime and her best slime is fluffy slime. Her favorite book series is called Harry Potter. She also likes the movies. Roald Dahl is known as a famous storyteller. In World War II, he was a pilot in the British air force. The great story teller was born in September 13, 1916 in Wales England. His parents were Sofie Dahl and Harald Dahl. In the age of 3, his life was shattered because his sister Astri died at the age of 7. She died of appendicitis and a few months later, his beloved dad died because of pneumonia. Appendicitis is when our appendix is swollen (even adults cry when in this pain) and the only way to get rid of it is to have surgery. Pneumonia is a sickness that attacks our lungs. He went to kindergarten at the age of 6. Mr. Dahl was caned because of his prank. He put a dead mouse in Mrs. Pratchett's candy jar. His mom was mad about him being caned and so immediately transferred Roald to another school. He was missing his mom a lot and faked appendicitis so he could go home. Florence Nightingale Florence Nightingale was a famous nurse and meticulous administrator. An administrator is like a boss and to be meticulous means to be careful and detailed. She worked during the Crimean war and was the night nurse. She was good at using big numbers to communicate about needs. This job is called a statistician.  Florence was born on May 12, 1820. She had one sister, a mother and a father. Her father's name was called William Edward and her mother Frances. She spoke five languages, French, German, Italian, Greek and Latin. She also liked reading and debating. Debating is the process of two sides arguing using pros and cons arguments. Pros are good points and cons are bad points. It is kind of like persuasive writing.  The Lady of the Lamp became a nurse because of her beliefs. She thought she heard God saying that she should be a  nurse so that she can help other people. Have you ever wondered how truffles are grown? Well, let me tell you how to grow truffles. This expensive topping grows underground and it also takes years to grow. Before the 1800s, truffle farmers use animals that can smell good such as dogs, foxes, pigs e.t.c to help them find truffles by smelling them out. But does truffle smell good? Well that is a good question. But not all people ask about the smell of truffles. Just to tell you that truffle has a musty smell and it's as bad as rotten cheese. Fungi cannot grow by themselves, did you know? They grow with plants for example, Hazel. Truffle farmers use a syringe that squeezes the fungi into the Hazel seed. This is the method they use nowadays. I hate truffles! How bout you?
